What kind of photographer are you?
I am a natural light, on location lifestyle photographer. I currently photograph maternity, babies/children/siblings, high school seniors and families.
I don’t typically photograph weddings, though I have assisted two local wedding photographers as a second photographer in the past and photographed several smaller weddings on my own. So if you’re planning a smaller, intimate wedding and think we might be a good fit feel free to contact me for a complimentary wedding consultation!
How long have you been in business?
Since mid-2010, so this is my 6th year in business here in the Wichita area.
What kind of camera do you use?
I’m a Canon girl, I have always used Canon cameras from the moment I became interested in photography and absolutely love them (nothing against Nikon though, I’m sure they are great too). I currently shoot with a Canon EOS 6D as well as a Canon EOS 7D for backup and the following prime lenses: 85 mm f/1.8 and 50 mm f/1.4.
Can I see your complete price list?
Yes drop me an email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’d be happy to send that right over.
How do I book a session with you?
You can drop me an email at email@example.com or contact me via the Inquire tab above (all client inquiries are responded to within 48 hours but typically sooner).
Where will my session be held and how long will it last?
All sessions are held at the outdoor location of your choice, except for lifestyle newborn sessions which may be held in the comfort of your home. I prefer to schedule all my outdoor sessions in the evenings about an hour before sunset when the evening light is the prettiest, but early morning is also a great time as well. Together we will decide on the perfect location for your session whether it be at a local park, downtown or urban area, country setting etc. Most sessions will typically last about one hour, sometimes more and sometimes less. It usually just depends on the type of session and the ages of those being included. Lifestyle newborn sessions will typically not include any special props or fancy posing and may last slightly longer than other sessions since we may need to feed, change or soothe baby (and capture those special moments of course).
Can I see samples of the products you offer?
Absolutely. I can bring samples to your session for you to take a look at if you know you are interested in a particular product such as gallery wrapped canvases or wall collections. When it comes time to place your order, I am happy to provide in an person ordering session (along with your online gallery), we can meet at your home or an alternate location (Starbucks anyone?) so I can assist you in selecting the items you’d like for your home.
What should I wear?
See my PINTEREST board and the WTW post archives for lots of ideas on what to wear at your sessions. Always dress comfortably and be yourself. Choose classic, coordinating colors but avoid everyone being completely matchy-matchy. Additional information can also be found on the Helpful Information page.
Will I receive my digital files after the session?
Yes, with both the Milestone Session & Signature Session a set number of digital images are included with your session. For more information please visit the Session Options page.
When and where will I view my proofs and place my print order?
Within two weeks after your session, you will receive a link to your private online proofing gallery where you will have one week to order any additional prints and products. Your digital download link will also be sent to you soon after your proofing gallery is released. Any print and/or products orders will be mailed out to you as soon as they arrive from the lab, usually within two to three weeks though some custom items may take slightly longer.
How do you choose which images end up in my gallery?
I look at each and every image I take during your session and hand select the very best images to edit for your gallery. I will automatically delete any duplicate images, images with closed eyes or unflattering facial expressions and of course any images that are not in focus for one reason or another. I choose a minimum of 30 images to edit, but there are typically many more than that. Rest assured you are seeing the absolute best images we captured!
