My Oldest | Wichita KS Photographer

This is my oldest daughter, she just finished the fifth grade and is soon to be a middle schooler and my how time has flown! She started orchestra at the beginning of the school year and she chose the cello as her instrument of choice. She has practiced really hard this year and has done so well, we are all super proud of her! Since the school year was winding down and instruments had to be turned back into the school before the end of the year, she recently asked if we could do a special session of her playing her cello. So one evening just before sunset we headed over to the little historical park in town and she did a little impromptu concert for us and I think we captured some beautiful images of her playing! She has already decided to continue on with orchestra in middle school next year, so I’m excited to see where her love of music (as well as her love of art) takes her in life!

Warthan Farms Photography :: Grow Your Talent Workshop

Last month I had the opportunity to attend the Grow Your Talent Workshop in Colby, Kansas with Jennifer from Warthan Farms Photography. I’ve been following Jennifer through the Clickin’ Moms & Light Inspired forums & on Facebook for a few years now and just love her photos. My dream is to someday be able to attend one of Jennifer’s Farmgirl Workshops on her farm in rural Virginia, maybe 2014 will be my year to be able to make that happen! So when I heard last fall that she was going to be coming to Kansas for a small group workshop this spring it was an opportunity I absolutely couldn’t pass up and emailed Jennifer right away to book my spot. I had an amazing time, got to know a lovely group of ladies that share my love of photography, learned a lot and best of all I got to meet Jennifer! We had some great models that day to practice our skills on, including an adorable little 5 month old and two ladies who were a lot of fun! Taggart Wedding | Sublett Studios 2nd Shooter

Last fall I met with Amber from Sublett Studios, a fabulous Wichita wedding photographer, about possibly second shooting at some of their upcoming weddings this spring. I’ve been anxiously (and nervously) waiting the last few months for spring wedding season to finally roll around! So last month I had the opportunity to help her out at the Taggart wedding, which was absolutely gorgeous in every single way. I don’t typically shoot weddings (and definitely not on my own) but I absolutely loved second shooting with Amber! Their first look and the fun couple & wedding party images we did outside the church & near Exploration Place were my favorite parts of the day I think! Terra & Vinton | Wichita KS Maternity Photographer

I met up with this sweet expecting couple a few weeks ago at one of my favorite local parks for a maternity session! We had gorgeous weather, beautiful evening light and I just love the images that we captured so much! Maternity sessions have always been one of my favorite types of sessions to photograph and this one was definitely no exception. Terra & Vinton are expecting twins, and how exciting that they’ll have not one but TWO sweet little girls soon! I know both of their families can’t wait to meet Baby A & Baby E!

Sample Wall Galleries

I absolutely love when clients order beautiful wall art for their homes, including mounted or framed prints and gorgeous gallery wrap canvases! Sometimes though it can be hard to visualize how different size prints will look together, so here are some sample wall gallery ideas. These are just a few of the endless possibilities when it comes to all the different sizes and configurations you can choose from. I also have this nifty little app for the iPad that can put your favorite images from your very own session into different gallery options. This is something I offer complimentary to my clients as part of your session, so don’t be surprised if you see some sample gallery options show up in your client proofing gallery!

Hayes Family | Wichita KS Family Photographer

I met up with the Hayes family for a session a few weekends ago and wow did we have amazing weather for our session that day! Much better than the day we were originally supposed to meet back in early November! We had a great time exploring the park together that day, and their little guy was a bundle of energy! He reminded me a lot of my son, I know they’d probably get along great! With the hustle and bustle of the holidays (and some icky germs that attacked our family) I’m a little behind on getting their sneak peek added to the blog but thanks again to the Hayes family for choosing me to document your memories :)

Also I wanted to take a moment to say that I am so thankful for all of the lovely clients I’ve had the pleasure of working with this past year (and the ones prior to that as well) and I’m really looking forward to an amazing 2013 and definitely hope to work with many of you again in the future ♥

I always love photographing little ones and this adorable little cutie from earlier this month was no exception! Emma celebrated her first birthday this fall so of course we had to do a cake smash as part of her session and gosh did she go nuts over her big cupcake, she dug right into all that yummy pink frosting! Harder Family | Wichita KS Family Photographer

I met up with the Harder family at our local nature preserve the day before Thanksgiving for an extended family session! This wonderful family of eleven (six adults & a total of five grandkids!) was so much fun to photograph, I really enjoyed my time with them so very much! Their kids were all so darn cute and they all did so good during our session they earned a family outing to play laser tag that evening! I thought that was a super fun way of ending their big day together! Thanks again to the entire Harder family for choosing me to document your memories :)
