Several months ago I saw a post on Facebook about a brand new photography forum called Girl Hearts Camera that was just starting out. So I checked it out and absolutely loved it, so I signed up right away and over the past few months I have gotten to know some wonderful ladies over there who all share my love for all things photography! Awhile back the idea came up to have a monthly blog circle with a different theme each month that each person can interpret in their own way and use photographs to share our own interpretation.
This month’s theme is “Be Tricky” and a few things immediately came to mind for me…obviously with October 31st being Halloween & trick-or-treating time right around the corner there are lots of things I could share { my kids’ costumes, decorations, crafts they’ve done etc. }…and then of course there’s how tricky it can be for me as a photographer to capture natural photos of my own kids! My three kids long ago tired of mom constantly pointing the camera in their direction. Especially my youngest, he’s 5-1/2 and was only a few months old when I got my very first DSLR camera so he (along with his two big sisters) was photographed often as I was learning and practicing! And he’s now a typical ornery little boy so I almost always get a silly face from him and quite often he sticks his tongue out at me! But he’s all mine and I love him to pieces (even when he recently gave himself a little haircut with my good scissors) so we just go with it lol!! This photo was taken during our local Fall Festival last weekend, we were waiting for the parade to start and he was all excited to get lots of candy!

Now head over and see how Amanda from American Honey Photography interpreted this month’s theme :)

Shawna this is such a phone photo and is similar to the only way I can get a decent shot of my son. You would think that since their momma’s are photographers they would know to work that camera!
So cute!! Thanks for sharing!
love that look! Wonderful capture.
love it! he has the look of candy anticipation!!! :)
